Beyond the ordinary

We’re Josh and Kaitlyn Phillips, a husband-and-wife team building our lifelong dream of farming here in Taylor, Missouri.

Josh grew up as the youngest of three boys, surrounded by the rhythm of farm life. His father has always been deeply involved in agriculture and ran cattle on the side, instilling in Josh a love for the land and livestock that’s never left him.

I, Kaitlyn, grew up in Quincy, Illinois—just far enough from the farm to see it from the outside, but close enough to appreciate the hard work and dedication it takes. My grandfather was a dairy farmer who ran a large operation, and his influence planted the early seeds of my respect for this way of life.

Though we both work off the farm—Josh in farm management and myself as a nurse practitioner—our hearts have always been in agriculture. For the past five years, we’ve been raising Black Angus cross cattle, and recently we were blessed with the opportunity to purchase our own ground to truly begin our family’s farming journey.

Faith plays a central role in our lives and our farm. We believe every opportunity and challenge is part of God’s plan, and we strive to honor Him through hard work, stewardship, and the way we raise our family.

Farming isn’t just what we do—it’s how we raise our four children. It’s the early mornings, the lessons in responsibility, and the satisfaction that comes from working together as a family. We’re proud to give our kids the same grounding in faith, hard work, and gratitude that we were given.

Our farm is built on tradition, family, and faith—a place where hard work meets heart, and where every day is a reminder of the blessings we’ve been given.
